Animals: The African savanna is home to African elephants, zebras, horses, giraffes, wildebeest, rhinoceroses, hyenas, and gazelles. You’ll also find meerkats, stinging ants and termites, ostriches, oxpeckers, vultures, and more!
Plant life: Diverse grasses cover the African savanna, like Rhodes grass, red oats grass, star grass, and lemon grass. Some shrubs grow, but only a few tree species – like the Acacia and Baobab trees – can survive in these mostly dry conditions.
